A Week of Garfield is a notoriously difficult action-platformer released exclusively for the Famicom (NES) in 1989 by Towa Chiki. You play as the famous orange cat on a mission to rescue Odie, battling through city streets, rooftops, and sewers across a Monday-to-Sunday gauntlet.
How to Play
The goal is to reach the end of each daily stage before the timer runs out while fending off mice, spiders, and neighborhood dogs. You start with a basic low kick attack but can pick up bone items to throw as projectiles.
Default Controls (Browser): Use the Arrow Keys to move, X to jump, Z to attack, and Enter to start.
Tips
- Garfield’s default kick has extremely short range; prioritize finding and holding onto bone items so you can attack from a safe distance.
- Avoid jumping unnecessarily, as the leaping arc is stiff and leaves you vulnerable to mid-air collisions with birds or falling obstacles.
