Based on the popular kids’ television show, Fun House is a top-down action game released for the NES in 1991. You play as a contestant on inline skates who must navigate through 72 slime-filled rooms, throwing tomatoes at targets within a strict time limit. Rather than focusing on trivia, this version tests your reflexes across increasingly difficult mazes while the host, J.D. Roth, tracks your progress.
How to play
You must skate from the start to the finish line of each room before the timer runs out. Use the D-pad (arrow keys) to skate through the maze, and A / B (Z / X) to throw tomatoes at targets. Press Start (Enter) to pause.
Tips
- Collecting 25 silver coins gives you an extra life, which is crucial for surviving the later, more complex rooms.
- Look out for warp zones hidden in some stagesโthey let you skip ahead to higher levels if you are confident in your skills.
- Be careful around icy floors and slime ramps, as they make it harder to stop or change direction quickly.
