Game description:

Developed by Frans Morsch and published by ChessBase in 1994, this legendary MS-DOS chess program made history by winning the 1995 World Computer Chess Championship against dedicated supercomputers. Far from a simple puzzle game, it offers a robust, highly tactical chess engine that challenged the greatest human and machine players of its era.

How to play

The objective is to defeat the computer in standard games of chess or use its engine to analyze complex positions.

Control:

Game is conยญtrolยญled by the same keys that are used to playing unยญder MS DOS. For fullยญscreen press ‘Right Alt’ + ‘Enยญter’.

Tips

  • Take advantage of the engine’s analysis tools to review your games and spot tactical mistakes you might have missed.
  • If the AI is too challenging, look for options in the menus to limit its thinking time and lower the difficulty.
