Flappy is a classic block-pushing puzzle game developed by dB-SOFT for the NES in 1985. You guide a cheerful, mole-like creature through 200 increasingly complex single-screen stages. The goal of each level is simple in concept but devious in execution: maneuver a specific blue stone onto its matching blue destination platform.
How to play
Your objective is to clear a path for the blue stone by pushing or crushing the common brown stones, while avoiding roaming enemies. You can pick up sleeping mushrooms and throw them to temporarily stun foes. In your browser, use the arrow keys to move, Z and X to throw sleeping mushrooms, and Enter to start the game.
Tips
- The blue stone can only be pushed, never pulled. Plan ahead so you do not push it into a corner where it gets stuck.
- Stunned enemies can be pushed and used as platforms. This is sometimes required to bridge gaps or form steps for the blue stone.
- Gravity affects the stones. If you push a block off an edge, it will fallโand it can crush enemies, or you, if you are caught underneath.
