Released exclusively in Japan for the Sega Master System in 1988, Final Bubble Bobble is an expanded version of the classic arcade platformer by Taito. Players once again control the bubble-blowing dragons Bub and Bob through a series of single-screen stages, trapping enemies in bubbles and popping them to clear the screen and collect fruit for high scores. This Master System iteration features redesigned levels and new items, offering a fresh challenge even for veterans of the original arcade game.
How to play
The objective is to clear every enemy from the screen to advance to the next stage. You trap enemies by blowing bubbles at them, then jump into the bubbled enemies to pop them before they escape and become enraged.
- Arrow keys: Move left and right
- Z: Jump (Button 1)
- X: Blow bubbles (Button 2)
- Enter: Start / Pause
Tips
- You can bounce on your own bubbles by holding the jump button, allowing you to reach higher platforms that are otherwise inaccessible.
- If you take too long to clear a stage, the invincible Baron von Blubba (Skel-Monsta) will appear and chase you until you lose a life or finish the level.
- Popping multiple trapped enemies at the same time yields significantly higher scores and better food items.
