Game description:

Fighters Destiny is a 3D fighting game developed by Genki, released for the Nintendo 64 in 1998. Instead of the health bars most fighting games use, matches are decided by points: you score them with ring-outs, knockdowns, and specific throw techniques, and whoever has the most points when the round ends wins. The roster is built from a range of distinct fighting styles, and the single-player Destiny Mode lets you take on and defeat rivals to pick up their signature moves, gradually building your own custom moveset as you progress.

How to Play

The goal in each match is to out-score your opponent on points rather than empty their health bar, so ring-outs, clean knockdowns, and successful throws matter more than raw damage. In the browser, the game uses the site’s standard Nintendo 64 control mapping:

  • Arrow keys — Control Stick (move / navigate)
  • Z — A button
  • X — B button
  • Shift — C buttons / Z trigger
  • Enter — Start

Tips

  • Push your opponent toward the edge of the ring — a ring-out scores points even if you haven’t landed much damage.
  • Watch for throw openings: several of the game’s biggest point swings come from landing a specific throw rather than a strike combo.
  • In Destiny Mode, beating a rival adds their signature technique to your own moveset, so prioritize learning new opponents’ patterns early.
