Game description:

FIFA International Soccer (Europe) on the SNES is the historic first entry in EA Sports’ legendary football franchise. Originally released to critical acclaim, it pioneered the isometric viewpoint that gave players a realistic, broadcast-style perspective of the pitch instead of the traditional top-down views. Featuring international teams and fictional player names, it laid the foundation for modern soccer video games with its focus on simulation-style gameplay.

How to Play

The objective is to score more goals than your opponent in standard football matches. On a keyboard, use the Arrow Keys to move your players. Press Z to pass or tackle, X to shoot or clear the ball, and Enter for Start to pause or navigate menus.

Tips

  • A classic exploit allows you to easily score by standing directly in front of the opposing goalkeeper as he attempts to dropkick the ballโ€”it will bounce off your player and straight into the net.
  • Utilize through-balls and sprint down the wings to bypass the congested midfield; crossing into the box is often the most reliable way to set up a scoring opportunity.
