F-Zero (All Track Practice) is a ROM hack of the classic Super Nintendo futuristic racer, created by Smkdan. Designed specifically for speedrunners and dedicated players, this hack unlocks all tracks in the game immediately, allowing you to practice any course without having to clear the Grand Prix modes first. It removes the barrier to entry for mastering the game’s toughest late-game tracks in the King and Queen leagues.
How to Play
Select your machine and any track you wish to master. F-Zero uses the SNES controller natively: use the D-pad to steer, B to accelerate, and Y to brake. The L and R shoulder buttons are crucial for leaning into sharp corners, while the A button activates your limited supply of speed boosts (Super Jet). In your browser, the SNES controls (D-pad, A, B, X, Y, L, R, Start, Select) are typically mapped to your keyboard’s arrow keys along with X, Z, S, A, Q, W, Enter, and Shift.
Tips
Mastering the shoulder buttons (L and R) is essential for tight cornering without losing speed; try letting off the accelerator briefly while leaning to take the sharpest turns. Manage your energy meter carefully, as colliding with walls or other machines will drain it quickly, and always aim for the pit areas to recharge during multi-lap practice.
