Elevator Action is a classic 1987 action-arcade game for the NES, originally developed by Taito. You take on the role of Agent 17, a spy infiltrating a 30-story building from the roof. Your mission is to work your way down to the basement, navigating a maze of elevators and escalators to collect secret documents hidden behind red doors, all while avoiding or shooting enemy agents before making your escape in a getaway car.
How to Play
To clear the level, you must collect every secret document before reaching the basement exit. You can move, crouch, and control elevators using the D-pad (Arrow keys). Press A (Z key) to jump or dodge bullets, and B (X key) to fire your pistol.
Tips
- Shooting the overhead light fixtures plunges the floor into temporary darkness, confusing enemies and preventing them from firing at you.
- You can crush enemy spies by moving an elevator down while they are standing in the shaft below it.
- Be sure to crouch to dodge incoming fire, but do not linger on one floor for too long, or enemy reinforcements will arrive to overwhelm you.
