Game description:

Originally developed by Nihon Falcom, Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes (released in Japan as Dragon Slayer: Eiyuu Densetsu) is a sweeping 1992 turn-based RPG for the SNES. As the first entry in what would become Falcom’s massive Legend of Heroes franchise, the game follows young Prince Selios as he escapes an invasion and embarks on a quest to reclaim his kingdom of Iserhasa.

How to Play

As a traditional Japanese role-playing game, your objective is to explore towns, navigate treacherous dungeons, and defeat monsters in turn-based combat to level up your party.

Browser Controls:

  • D-pad (Arrow Keys): Move Selios and navigate menus
  • A (X key): Confirm actions, talk to NPCs, and inspect objects
  • B (Z key): Cancel selections and close menus
  • Start (Enter): Pause the game and open the main menu

Tips

  • Take advantage of the game’s auto-battle system for standard encounters; it speeds up grinding when fighting weaker monsters, though you should return to manual control for challenging boss fights.
  • Make sure to speak with every NPC in towns, as progressing the main story often requires triggering specific conversations to reveal new locations or events.
