Game description:

Double Strike: Aerial Attack Force is an unlicensed shoot ’em up released for the NES in 1990. Developed by Joy Van and published in North America by American Video Entertainment, the game puts you in the cockpit of the experimental Thrasher Hawk-7 fighter jet. Your mission is to battle across air, land, and sea to liberate nine South Pacific islands from a hostile terrorist organization known as D.A.M.E.D. Playable solo or with a friend, it offers an arcade-style experience with various power-ups to upgrade your wing cannons and bombs.

How to Play

Pilot your jet through enemy territory, dodging incoming fire while taking down hostile aircraft, ground defenses, and naval fleets. Collect power-ups along the way to enhance your firepower. The default browser controls for the NES map the D-pad to the arrow keys, with the Z and X keys used for your primary cannons and special bombs. Use Enter for Start and Shift for Select.

Tips

  • Focus on upgrading your primary weapons early; a wider spread of fire makes clearing out enemy waves significantly easier.
  • Save your bombs for situations where you are overwhelmed by enemy fire or to deal massive damage to end-of-level bosses.
  • Keep moving to avoid being cornered by incoming projectiles, as enemy patterns can quickly fill the screen.
