Dino City is a colourful 2D platformer released for the SNES in 1992 by Irem. Loosely based on the film Adventures in Dinosaur City, the game follows Timmy and Jamie who are transported into a prehistoric world. You take control of a human-dinosaur duo, riding either Rex the T-Rex or Tops the Protoceratops to jump, tail-whip, and punch through stages to defeat the evil “Rockys”.
How to play
Your objective is to navigate the side-scrolling levels, overcome obstacles, and defeat bosses to save the dinosaur kingdom. The characters share a life bar and function as a single unit, though the human can occasionally hop off to access tight spaces.

Tips
- Experiment with both characters. Rex is a powerhouse with a strong punch, while Tops is faster and can fire projectiles, making them better suited for different situations.
- You can dismount to reach smaller areas or grab items, but remember that leaving your dinosaur companion exposes you to taking damage much more easily.
