Defender II is a fast-paced side-scrolling action shooter developed by Williams Electronics in 1981, later brought to the NES. You pilot a spacecraft defending a planet’s surface from waves of alien invaders attempting to abduct the humanoids below.
How to play
Your objective is to destroy all alien forces while preventing the abduction of humanoids. Keep a close eye on the scanner at the top of the screen to track enemy movements. If an alien captures a humanoid, shoot the abductor and catch the falling humanoid before they hit the ground.

Tips
Prioritise saving humanoids. If all humanoids are killed, the planet explodes and you are left fighting in space where enemies are much more aggressive and difficult to survive.
Use your smart bombs carefully, as they clear the entire screen of enemies but are in very limited supply. They are your best out when swarmed.
