Dead Angle is a classic 1989 arcade-style gallery shooter ported to the Sega Master System by Seibu Kaihatsu. Players step into the shoes of a private detective tasked with rescuing his kidnapped girlfriend from the clutches of a ruthless mob boss. Taking inspiration from shooting galleries, the game challenges you to navigate side-scrolling urban levels, ducking into cover and taking out mobsters as they pop out of windows and doorways.
How to play
Your objective is to survive each stage by eliminating enough enemies within the time limit before facing off against a mob underboss. Use the Arrow keys to move your silhouette along the bottom of the screen and aim your crosshair. Press Z or X to fire your weapon, and Enter to start. You can only take damage when your character’s silhouette turns red, signaling that you are exposed to enemy fire.
Tips
- Always prioritize enemies that are actively firing at you or throwing explosives, as the screen can quickly fill with projectiles.
- Watch your silhouette closely; use cover wisely to avoid taking hits when you are in the line of sight.
