Datach: J.League Super Top Players is a unique soccer game released for the Famicom in 1994. Developed by Tose and published by Bandai, it stands out for its use of the Datach Joint ROM System. On original hardware, players swiped physical barcode cards through the reader to select their teams and customize formations. Featuring an official J.League license, the game includes a full season tournament alongside dedicated penalty kick and practice modes.
How to Play
Your objective is to guide your chosen J.League team to victory through the season tournament or master the penalty kick battles. Use the D-pad (mapped to arrow keys) to move your players around the pitch, A (Z) to pass the ball, and B (X) to shoot or tackle. Press Start (Enter) to pause the match.
Tips
Take advantage of the pre-match customization screen. You can adjust your strategy by selecting from three different formationsโ4-4-2, 4-3-3, or 3-5-2โto better suit your playstyle against tougher opponents.
