Game description:

Crayon Shin-Chan – Ora to Poi Poi is a competitive action puzzle game released exclusively in Japan for the Famicom in 1993. Co-developed by TOSE and Bandai, it places Shin-chan in a head-to-head tug-of-war against familiar characters from the anime series. Rather than dropping blocks from the sky, you move Shin-chan up and down on a tennis-court-style playfield, matching symbols to push stacks of cards back toward your opponent’s side. If a stack reaches your goal line, you lose the round.

How to Play

The objective is to overtake your opponent’s side of the screen by matching symbols and pushing the stacks. Use the D-pad (Arrow Keys) to move Shin-chan up and down the lanes. Press A (Z) to pick up the top card from a stack, and press it again to throw that card into another stack to create a match. You can pause the game with Start (Enter).

Tips

  • Keep an eye on the flashing cards; matching them can create chain reactions that push stacks faster.
  • Don’t just focus on one lane. Your opponent will exploit ignored lanes, so keep rotating Shin-chan across the board to maintain a balanced defense.
