Commander Keen 6: Aliens Ate My Baby Sitter! is a classic 1991 DOS platformer developed by id Software. As the final chapter of the original series, it sends eight-year-old genius Billy Blaze to the planet Fribbulus Xax to rescue his babysitter from the alien Bloogs, combining tight platforming with exploration and item collection.
How to Play
Your goal is to navigate the alien terrain, secure keycards to open new areas, and track down your kidnapped babysitter. The gameplay relies heavily on Keen’s trusty pogo stick for reaching high platforms and his Neural Stunner for neutralizing enemies. By default, use the Arrow Keys to move, Ctrl to jump, Alt to toggle your pogo stick, and the Spacebar to fire your stunner.
Tips
- Master the pogo: You can control your bounce height by how long you hold the jump key, which is essential for precise platforming and avoiding ground hazards.
- Explore thoroughly: Take the time to search for hidden passages and out-of-reach areas. They often contain extra lives, point items, and valuable Queen Vivas.
- Watch your step: There is no health bar; a single touch from an enemy or an environmental hazard like spikes will instantly cost you a life.
