City Connection is a 1985 arcade-platformer brought to the NES by Jaleco, challenging you to drive a Honda City across multi-tiered global highways. As you speed through international landmarks, your goal is to paint every section of road while outmaneuvering pursuing police cars and avoiding the stray cats that wander into your path.
How to play
To complete each stage, you must drive over every piece of the highway to paint it white. You can leap between the different tiers of the road and throw oil cans to spin out police cars, but touching a police car, hitting a cat, or missing a jump will cost you a life. Use the arrow keys to steer, press X to jump between highway tiers, and press Z to fire oil cans. Press Enter to start the game and Shift to select modes.
Tips
- Oil cans are your best defense against police cars. Hit them with a can to send them spinning, then bump into them to knock them off the screen for bonus points.
- You cannot attack the cats. Since they act as indestructible obstacles, you must time your jumps over them or drop to a different tier to avoid a crash.
- Try to paint the higher tiers of the highway first, as it is much easier to drop down to catch missed spots than it is to jump back up.
