CHAMP Asterocks is a 1997 multidirectional shooter developed by ChamProgramming for DOS. As a faithful arcade tribute, you pilot a triangular ship through a deadly asteroid field, tasked with blasting apart floating rocks and hostile UFOs to survive.

How to play

The goal is to clear each wave by destroying all asteroids on screen. Shooting a large rock splits it into two medium ones, which in turn split into fast-moving small pieces. The game supports two-player co-op. In the browser, try using the arrow keys to rotate and apply thrust, and the spacebar, Z, or X to fire your weapon or warp out of danger.

Tips

Break down and destroy one large asteroid completely before shooting the others. Filling the screen with small, fast-moving rocks will quickly overwhelm you.
Thrusting continuously makes your ship hard to control. Tap the thrust key lightly to drift, keeping your ship stable enough to aim.
Use the hyperspace warp only in emergencies, as you may reappear directly in the path of a hazard.
