This version restores the original Famicom visuals that were censored during the game’s North American release, including religious iconography on gravestones, unedited enemy sprites, and original blood effects. You play as Trevor Belmont on a quest to defeat Dracula, joined by optional companions Sypha, Grant, and Alucard.

How to Play

Navigate the dangerous stages of Dracula’s castle and defeat enemies to progress. The default NES controls are mapped to your keyboard: use the Arrow Keys to move and climb stairs, X to jump, and Z to attack with your main weapon. Press Up + Z to use your currently equipped sub-weapon, and Enter to pause the game.

Tips

• Grant DaNasty’s ability to climb walls and ceilings allows you to bypass difficult platforming sections and avoid tricky enemy placements.
• Sypha Belnades has low defense, but her lightning magic sub-weapon deals massive damage to almost all bosses.
• Don’t rush on stairs; you cannot jump while climbing them, making you highly vulnerable to Medusa Heads and bats.
