Castelian is a distinctive action-platformer released for DOS in 1987 by Hewson Consultants. Also known as Nebulus or Tower Toppler, the game stands out for its striking pseudo-3D perspective, where the cylindrical tower smoothly rotates around your character—a small creature named Pogo—as you climb toward the summit.

How to play

Your objective is to navigate Pogo to the top of a series of treacherous towers within a strict time limit to trigger their destruction. You must jump across gaps, ride elevators, and deal with bizarre enemies. Use the arrow keys to move and enter doorways, and use the Space, Alt, or Ctrl keys to jump and fire your bubble weapon.

Tips

• Not all enemies can be destroyed with your bubbles. For indestructible bouncing hazards, time your movement to slip underneath them or hide inside doorways to bypass them.
• Avoid standing still for too long; certain ledges will crumble beneath your feet, and the tight timer requires you to maintain a steady upward pace.
• Doorways often serve as both a refuge and a shortcut, transporting Pogo to another side of the tower to access elevators or avoid dead ends.
