Game description:

Brush Roller is a maze action game developed by RCM Group and released for the NES in 1990. A faithful adaptation of the arcade classic Crush Roller (also known as Make Trax), the game tasks you with painting every inch of a labyrinth while avoiding pursuing enemies.

How to play

Your goal is to guide your character through the maze and paint every single path. Enemies will constantly chase you; you can delay them by using the paint rollers scattered around the maze to run them over, sending them back to their starting point.

Use the arrow keys to navigate the maze. Z and X correspond to the NES A and B buttons, while Enter and Shift act as Start and Select.

Tips

  • Use the paint rollers strategically. They are your only defense against enemies, but they respawn slowly, so don’t waste them when the enemies are far away.
  • Plan your route to minimize backtracking. Leaving small unpainted gaps will force you to return to dangerous areas later.
