Brett Hull Hockey is an ice hockey game released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1994. Endorsed by the legendary goal-scorer Brett Hull, this 16-bit sports title features fast-paced action, real NHLPA rosters from the era, and digitized play-by-play commentary from Al Michaels. Players can hit the ice in exhibition matches, grind through a full season, or jump straight into the playoffs to compete for the championship.
How to play
Your objective is to outscore the opposing team by maneuvering the puck down the ice and firing shots past their goalie. In the browser emulator, use the arrow keys to skate and position your players. On offense, use the Z and X keys (mapping to the SNES B and A buttons) to pass the puck to teammates, and the A and S keys (mapping to the Y and X buttons) to shoot. On defense, use those same action buttons to switch your controlled player, poke check, or deliver a body check. Press Enter (Start) to pause the game.
Tips
- Winding up for a heavy slap shot takes a brief moment and leaves you vulnerable to getting body-checked, so make sure you have open space before committing to the shot.
- Setting up one-timers by passing the puck quickly across the slot to an open teammate is one of the most effective ways to catch the opposing goalie off guard.
