Big Mountain 2000, released in 2000 for the Nintendo 64, is a winter sports racing game that lets players tackle the slopes using either skis or snowboards. Originally known as Snow Speeder in Japan, the game challenges you to compete in Free Ride, Slalom, and Giant Slalom events across multiple mountain stages.
How to Play
In Championship mode, your goal is to place first in all events to upgrade your racer's Speed, Cornering, and Cool stats. Keep an eye on your stamina meter and countdown timer during the descent. Crashing depletes stamina and slows you down, while passing through gates adds precious seconds to your clock.
- Movement/Steer: Arrow Keys
- A Button (Jump/Confirm): X key
- B Button (Trick/Cancel): Z key
- Start: Enter
Tips
- Protect your stamina: Avoid wiping out or making rough landings. A depleted stamina meter will significantly reduce your top speed and cost you the race.
- Aim for clean gates: In Slalom events, missing flags not only penalizes your time but also starves you of the time extensions needed to reach the finish line.
