🎮 Play Battletoads in Battlemaniacs Online (SNES)

Battletoads in Battlemaniacs is a notoriously difficult 1993 action-platformer developed by Rare Limited for the SNES. Playing as either Rash or Pimple, you fight through the Gamescape to rescue Zitz and the CEO’s daughter, Michiko. The game builds on the original NES classic with larger sprites, exaggerated finishing moves (Smash Hits), and the return of punishing obstacle courses, including a brutal new take on the turbo tunnel.

How to play

Beat ’em up stages alternate with vehicle and platforming segments that demand pure memorisation. Use the D-pad to move, Z to attack, and X to jump. Double-tap forward to run, which enables powerful dashing attacks. In vehicle sections, quick reflexes are your only way to survive the high-speed hazards.

Tips

• Memorise the tunnel: In the hoverbike stage, watch the far right of the screen intently. You cannot react on instinct alone; memorising the obstacle pattern is mandatory.
• Use dash attacks: Running attacks deal massive damage and help clear out tougher enemies quickly before you get surrounded.
• Juggle enemies: You can hit airborne enemies multiple times before they hit the ground, maximizing damage and keeping them out of the fight.
