Game description:

Banjo-Dreamie is an ambitious Nintendo 64 ROM hack developed by Kurko Mods that serves as an unofficial sequel to the 3D platforming classic, Banjo-Kazooie. Instead of merely remixing original levels, it offers completely custom worlds to explore, brand new Jinjos to rescue, and unique challenges for the bear and bird duo. Built directly on the original game’s engine, it delivers a fresh, feature-length collectathon experience tailored for veteran players.

How to Play

Your objective is to explore the hub world, gather Musical Notes to unlock new areas, and collect Jiggies to progress through the custom levels. The game follows the standard browser mapping for the Nintendo 64: use the Arrow keys for movement (analog stick), and the Z, X, A, S, Q, and W keys for your jumps, attacks, and camera controls (mapping to the A, B, Z, and C-buttons). Press Enter to pause and check your totals.

Tips

  • Since this is a fan-made sequel, expect the platforming difficulty and puzzle logic to be a step up from the original game. Pay close attention to your surroundings to find cleverly hidden switch pads.
  • The Talon Trot remains your most essential move for traversing steep terrain and crossing long distances quickly.
  • Make sure to revisit earlier worlds as you unlock more moves. Like the original, some Jiggies can only be reached once you have learned a specific ability later in the game.
