Babel no Tou (also known as The Tower of Babel) is a classic 1986 puzzle-platformer developed by Namco for the NES. Players control an explorer navigating 64 complex floors by rearranging L-shaped blocks to build staircases and reach each level’s exit door.
How to Play
The objective is to reach the exit at the top of the room. You can pick up and drop the L-shaped blocks to construct pathways. In the browser emulator, use the Arrow keys to move, Z to jump or interact, X to pick up or drop blocks, and Enter for Start. Be careful, as blocks can fall but cannot be moved upward once dropped.
Tips
- Blocks obey gravity. Plan your moves carefully, as dropping a block in the wrong place can make a puzzle unsolvable and force you to restart the level.
- You can carry a block while standing on another block, which is essential for building multi-step staircases to bridge large gaps.
