Airlock is a frantic action platformer released by Data Age in 1982 for the Atari 2600. Set inside a rapidly sinking submarine, the game gives you just ten seconds to clear each level before the floor floods. It is a pure test of reflexes and decision-making where hesitating for even a moment can ruin a run.
How to play
Your objective is to collect two hatch keys on each floor to unlock the elevator and ascend to the next level. Loose torpedoes slide across the screen to block your path; you must jump over them, as getting hit will stun you and burn precious seconds. You lose a life if the ten-second timer expires before you escape.

Tips
- Do not rush blindly; time your jumps carefully over the torpedoes. Being stunned by a torpedo almost always wastes more time than waiting a fraction of a second for a clean jump.
- Memorise the layout of the keys on each floor. Knowing exactly where to run as soon as the elevator doors open is essential to beating the strict ten-second timer.
