Air Strike Patrol is an isometric jet fighter shooter developed by SETA for the SNES in 1994. Known as Desert Fighter in Europe, the game puts you in the cockpit of an F-15 or A-10 to fly tactical strike missions. The unique isometric perspective sets it apart from traditional vertical scrolling shooters, requiring you to carefully line up bombing runs against enemy tanks, bunkers, and SCUD missiles.
How to Play
Complete your mission objectives by destroying designated ground targets while managing your fuel and armor. For the SNES emulator controls, the D-pad is mapped to the arrow keys. Use Z and X for your primary weapons (machine guns and bombs), and A and S for secondary actions depending on your loadout. Press Enter for Start and Shift for Select.
Tips
- Pay close attention to your shadow on the ground; it is the most reliable way to judge your altitude and line up bombing runs on ground targets.
- Conserve your heavy bombs for heavily armored targets like bunkers and large installations, relying on your vulcan cannon for lighter vehicles.
- Keep an eye on your fuel gauge, especially when using the afterburner to evade enemy fire.
