Aero the Acro-Bat is a side-scrolling platformer released in 1993 for the Super Nintendo, developed by Iguana Entertainment and published by Sunsoft. It stars Aero, a stunt-performing bat at the Ecirtnec Circus, who sets out to stop the circus’s crooked owner, Edgar Ektor, from destroying the big top for an insurance payout.
How to Play
The goal is to guide Aero through each circus-themed stage to the exit while dodging Edgar Ektor’s traps and enemies, using acrobatic platforming moves like tightrope walking and mid-air dives along the way. In your browser, use the arrow keys to move and balance on tightropes, Z (A button) to jump, and X (B button) to attack, with Enter (Start) to pause.
Tips
Aero’s dive attack is his signature move: press down while airborne to dive-bomb enemies below, which is safer than trying to land directly on top of them. Watch your footing on the circus tightropes too â a mistimed jump off a narrow platform is one of the quickest ways to lose a life.
