Adventures of Lolo 2 is a classic puzzle game developed by HAL Laboratory and released for the NES in 1990. Players once again control the round, blue hero Lolo as he navigates the perilous rooms of the Great Devil’s tower to rescue Princess Lala.
How to play
The objective in each room is to collect all the Heart Framers to reveal a jewel in the chest, which unlocks the exit door. You must carefully push blocks and avoid enemies with unique behaviors. The default NES controls map to your keyboard: use the arrow keys to move, Z to fire magic shots, X to use special items, and Enter/Shift for Start/Select.
Tips
- Magic shots are limited. Save them to turn specific enemies into eggs, which can then be pushed to trap other foes or shoved into water to ride as a raft.
- If you realize a puzzle has become unsolvable because you pushed a block into the wrong corner, press Select to give up a life and restart the room immediately.
- Snakeys are completely harmless and will not attack you; they are mainly used as obstacles or tools to block other enemies’ lines of sight.
