Math Gran Prix is a 1982 educational game for the Atari 2600 by Atari, Inc. Despite the racing theme, it plays more like a digital board game. Instead of steering a car in real time, you move your vehicle forward along a short track by successfully solving arithmetic problems.
How to play
Players take turns advancing their car on the board. On your turn, you choose to attempt either a two-space or three-space move. A math problem appears, which you must solve correctly to move ahead. The first player to reach the finish line wins.

Tips
- Always pick the three-space moves: The difficulty difference between the two-space and three-space questions is usually negligible, so it is almost always better to take the longer move.
- Play the correct difficulty: You can choose what operations are included. Tailor it to the player’s levelโaddition and subtraction for beginners, multiplication and division for an extra challenge.
