Robot Wars: Metal Mayhem brings the metal-crunching arena combat of the hit British television series to the Game Boy Color. Released in 2000, this vehicular combat game allows you to step into the War Zone with familiar house robots or head to the Robot Workshop to build your own custom destructive machine from scratch.

How to Play

The main goal is to destroy opposing robots in one-on-one arena battles, or test your machine’s maneuverability in trials like Sumo and Slalom. Use the Game Boy Color D-pad (mapped to arrow keys) to steer your robot, and the A and B buttons (Z and X on your keyboard) to activate your primary and secondary weapons. Press Start (Enter) to pause or confirm selections.

Tips

• Experiment in the Robot Workshop to find the best balance of chassis weight, motors, and weaponry for your driving style.
