World Class Leader Board brings the acclaimed golf simulation to the Sega Master System. This European release challenges players to master their swing across four demanding 18-hole courses, including accurate recreations of famous real-world links like St. Andrews and Doral Country Club. Known for its demanding physics and precise mechanics, it offers a deep, rewarding golfing experience that requires careful attention to wind, club selection, and shot execution.
How to Play
The objective is to complete each course with the lowest possible stroke count. Before your shot, use the directional pad to aim and select your club. The swing uses a classic three-tap power meter: press the swing button once to start the meter, again to set your power, and a third time as the bar returns to the center to set your “snap” or accuracy. In the browser, use the Arrow Keys to emulate the Master System’s D-pad, and Z / X for the 1 and 2 buttons.
Tips
- Always check the wind indicator before swinging; even a slight crosswind will dramatically push your ball off course if you don’t aim against it.
- Missing the center of the snap meter will hook or slice your shot. It is often better to hit a straight shot with less power than risk a wild hook by aiming for maximum distance.
- Pay close attention to the distance to the pin and switch clubs accordingly, as the default club selection isn’t always optimal for the terrain.
