Disney’s Bonkers: Wax Up! is a 1998 2D platformer released exclusively in Brazil for the Sega Master System by Tec Toy. Based on the animated series, players control Bonkers D. Bobcat as he sets out to rescue his partner Lucky Piquel and other Toons. The villainous Madame Whosaid has kidnapped them, planning to encase them in wax for her personal museum.
How to Play
Navigate through themed levels, jumping on enemies and searching for required items. To progress, you must collect a specific number of “pickle clues” and rescue any waxed Toons scattered around the map. On the Sega Master System, use the D-pad to move, Button 1 to jump, and Button 2 for actions. In the browser, these map to the arrow keys, Z, and X.
Tips
- If you find yourself lost in the large levels, use the compass on the pause screenโit will point you directly toward the next required object.
- Collect food items to replenish Bonkers’ health, and keep an eye out for police badges to earn bonus points and extra lives.
