Urusei Yatsura: Lum’s Wedding Bell is an action-platformer developed by TOSE and published by Jaleco for the NES in 1986. Originally created as a licensed adaptation of the arcade game Momoko 120%, it stars Lum as she climbs through different stages of her lifeโfrom infant school all the way up to a chapelโin pursuit of marrying Ataru. This version features the English translation patch by Stardust Crusaders.
How to Play
The main objective is to scale the floors of each building and reach a waiting UFO on the roof before being engulfed by a constantly rising fire from below. You must navigate using ladders, escalators, and trampolines to ascend while avoiding hazards.
Controls: Use the D-pad to move and climb. Press A to jump and B to fire Lum’s signature electrical zap to defeat the alien enemies in your path. In the browser, the D-pad is mapped to the arrow keys, with Z and X for A and B, and Enter for Start.
Tips
- Keep moving upward: The rising fire at the bottom of the screen never stops, so prioritize climbing over fighting enemies or collecting items on lower floors.
- Master the trampolines: Timing your jumps on the trampolines is crucial to reach higher floors quickly without falling back down into the danger zone.
