Tokkyuu Shirei Solbrain is a side-scrolling action platformer developed by Natsume and released for the NES in 1991. Based on the Japanese television series (and later localized in the West as Shatterhand), the game puts you in control of an elite agent who relies on cybernetic fists rather than firearms to punch through challenging enemy forces and robotic bosses.
How to Play
Your primary weapon is your powerful punch, which can destroy enemies and even deflect projectiles. Use the arrow keys to move, Z or X to jump, and X or Z to punch. Press Enter to pause. As you progress, punch the item boxes to reveal alpha and beta symbols; collecting three of these will summon a robotic satellite to assist you in combat.
Tips
- Different combinations of alpha and beta symbols spawn different satellites, offering unique weapons like lasers or swords. Experiment to discover them all.
- If you collect the exact same three-symbol combination while your satellite is already active, you will merge with it to execute a devastating screen-clearing attack.
- Don’t forget that your fists can punch incoming enemy bullets out of the air, which is crucial for surviving heavily guarded areas.
