Game description:

Developed by Capcom and released in 1992 for the SNES, Final Fight Guy is an updated home console port of the genre-defining arcade beat ’em up. Following the original SNES release which omitted him due to memory constraints, this version brings the fast-striking martial artist Guy back into the roster alongside the powerhouse mayor, Mike Haggar. You must brawl your way through the crime-ridden streets of Metro City to dismantle the Mad Gear gang.

How to Play

Take on waves of thugs by mastering your character’s attacks, throws, and jump kicks. You can grab enemies simply by walking into them, allowing you to follow up with a pummel or a devastating throw. The SNES controls map to your keyboard as follows: use the D-pad (Arrow keys) to move, Y (A key) to attack, and B (Z key) to jump. Press Start (Enter) to begin or pause the action.

Tips

  • Desperation Move: Pressing Attack and Jump simultaneously performs a spinning attack that knocks down all surrounding enemies. Use it as a panic button when overwhelmed, but be carefulโ€”it consumes a sliver of your health if it connects.
  • The Infinite Combo: You can deal continuous damage without knocking enemies down by throwing two normal punches, quickly turning your character away to reset the combo chain, and immediately turning back to punch again.
  • Crowd Control: Always try to keep enemies on one side of the screen. If you get caught between groups on your left and right, you are highly vulnerable to taking massive damage.
